Registration for eligibility

Students are required to obtain eligibility certificate from Jiwaji University, Gwalior on payment of required fees.

Enrollment

Students are required to enroll with the Jiwaji University, Gwalior on payment of fee.

Commencement of the Course

The course shall start in the month of July every year. Medium of instruction is English. Students are expected to have proficiency in English language. (Verbal as well as written).

Attendance

75% attendance separate in theory and practical is required by each student for appearing in the University Examinations. Students short of this will not be allowed to appear in the university examinations. However, 100 % practical hours must be completed before the award of degree.

Fee Structure

Separate sheet enclosed for GNM, B.Sc.(N), P.B. B.Sc. (N) & M.Sc.(N)

Vacation

There shall be 04 weeks' vacation during summer and 02 weeks during winter.

Discipline & Behaviour

All students admitted in the college must observe that rules and regulation that may be framed from time to time by the Management. Students are required to maintain absolute self-discipline in the College, Hospital campus and in the Hostel. Violation of the rules will result in severe disciplinary action against the offenders. Each student is responsible for the proper handling and safe custody of any apparatus or equipment that she may be using. In case of any damage or loss to the College property by unfair means, the student will have to pay the cost of repair or replacement.

Student must show obedience to all the members of the staff as well as to the managing authority of the College.

All communication from the students should be addressed to the Principal. No association, union or club may be formed in the College by the students of their own.

In matters of administration, training and discipline, the decision of the Principal shall be final and binding on all students alike.

Ragging

Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college campus as well as in the hostel. Both junior and senior students are required to maintain cordial relationship with each other and a disciplined atmosphere in the college campus.

Academic Norms

Student will attend programmes as per College Time table. Students will appear in all tests. A cumulative progress record of each student is being maintained. Students will participate in social, cultural and professional activities. Separate timings have been earmarked for these activities. In case of illness permission will be taken from the Principal to mark reasons of absent and completion of the course.

Identity Card

Each student is provided with an identity card and it must be carried during the College hours or whenever they are going out.

Use of Library

All the students of this college are compulsory member of the Library. With the help of identity card, she is allowed to draw two books at a time from the Library A fine of Rs. 5/- per day shall be charged for each book retained with her for more than the prescribed time. The books lost or damaged in any way shall be replaced by the borrower otherwise she will be liable to pay the current price of the book plus Rs.50/- as procurement charges. The reference book will not be issued to the students. However, students may consult these books in the Library.

The Library has a photo copying machine. Students can photo copy required pages from reference book as well as other books on payment of requisite charge. The library also has internet facility. Students can browse the internet and obtain printed copy with the help of laser printer attached with the computer after payment of required charges.

Regular Library Hours

Monday to Saturday - 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Computer Lab

Students will write name, class, date, time and system number on the register specially maintained for this purpose before entering the Computer Lab. One system will be shared by one student only. Students working on the specific machine would be responsible for any damage pertaining to software or hardware or any attachment thereof. External floppies will not be allowed due to virus related problems. No attempt must be made to correct the system mechanically or by other means. Whenever any error occur the concerned faculty/ expert should be consulted. Students must save their work in the directory, separate for each student, to avoid problems such as deletion, unauthorized changes etc.

Refund of Fees

No refund of fee is permissible. The fee and other amount once paid under no circumstances will be refunded/ adjusted/transferred to other course/student. Students may be required to give a bond for the payment of total amount of fee and other charges for whole course that is payable for 4 yrs for B.Sc.(N) & 2 Yrs course for M.Sc.(N). If student discontinues the course in the middle of courses then she will have to pay the remaining amount of fee etc. to the college.

Uniform Code FOR B.Sc.(n)

Clinical Uniform : 2 sets of salwar suits, 1 white Apron, 1 pair of clinical shoes (Lakhani), 1 pair of white socks (Nike) and 1 navy blue sweater for winters. "For all the students the pocket articles must contain" 1 stethoscope, 1 pocket diary, 1 small dictionary, 1 mask, 1 red ink pen, 1 black ink pen, 1 small scale, 1 measuring tape.

Team Uniform for the games: 2 set of white dress (half sleeve T-shirt & divided skirt) and Navy Blue sweater for winter with one pair of white Lakhani Shoes and white short socks of Nike Company.

Uniform Code FOR M.Sc.(n)

Clinical Uniform: 2 sets of gray Sadi, Blouse, Apron with their code No plate and white Lakhani Shoes with socks (Nike).

Community Uniform: 2 sets of white color Sadi, Blouse, Apron with college code No. plate and white Lakhani shoes with socks (Nike).

Team Uniform for games: One pair of white salwar suit with lakhani shoes and Nike short socks.

Services

Selected candidate will have to execute an agreement (Bond) under appropriate stamp paper duly certified by the court / Notary to serve the Gwalior Nursing College or allied hospital of the Society or any other hospital at or outside Gwalior, as decided by the management for a minimum period of one year in case of B.Sc.(N) and after successful completion of the course. Students shall however, be paid stipend decided by the college Management during service period of one year respectively.

In case student leaves the college in between or do not want to serve, the amount of all security deposit shall be forfeited and Rs. 10,000/- shall be charged extra, what so ever would be the reasons in this regard. Her original certificates kept in the college shall be treated as security. These certificates will only be return after completion of bond conditions.
